MUSEO ENTOMOLOGICO "NEL REGNO DELLE FARFALLE" ONLUS

The Naturalistic Entomological Museum "in the Kingdom of Butterflies" Onlus, in Schio (Vicenza), contains a collection of over 10,000 butterflies meticulously preserved representing all the diurnal species of Italy so far known, accurately classified by species, subspecies, sex and form (biological). This classification was performed by referring to the five volumes of Roger Verity, Italian doctor and entomologist (May 20, 1883 - March 4, 1959), titled "Day Butterflies of Italy" and printed in 800/1,000 numbered copies, with 1,688 pages, over the years 1940-1953. All butterflies are preserved and contained in glass cases, first exposed to more than 300 giant photographs that represent the natural environments where they live, from the Alps to the Apennines, from glaciers to the sea. All scenarios that light to visit, do not compromise the integrity and preservation of the colors of the butterflies as the lights come on automatically only to the presence of the visitor and for the necessary time. The museum "in the Kingdom of Butterflies" non-profit organization was established in regard to spread as much details as possible about the life of butterflies, their populations, and  the laws that protect them: the Washington Convention (CITES or CITES, Berne Convention , Berne Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats), the Habitats Directive (Natura 2000) of 21 May 1992 n. 92/43 EEC, and all that is necessary to safeguard the environment that still house them. At the moment  the museum has been divided into 48 stations, arranged along five routes with pitches: "Thunderstorm", "Environmental", "Geographic", "Scientific" and "Ecological" paths. The museum is completed by eleven "Intervals", where are strictly preserved and displayed "Friends and enemies of butterflies insects", "Butterflies of the Night", and  "Butterflies of the World".

Il Museo naturalistico entomologico "nel Regno delle Farfalle" Onlus, di Schio (Vicenza), contiene una collezione di oltre 10.000 farfalle meticolosamente conservate che rappresentano tutte le specie diurne d'Italia finora conosciute, rigorosamente classificate per specie, sottospecie, sesso e forma(biologica). Detta classificazione è stata eseguita facendo riferimento ai cinque volumi di Ruggero Verity, dottore ed entomologo italiano (20 maggio 1883 - 4 marzo 1959), intitolati Le Farfalle diurne d'Italia e stampati in 800/1000 copie numerate, con 1688 pagine, negli anni 1940-1953. Tutte le farfalle sono conservate e contenute in teche, esposte innanzi ad oltre 300 gigantografie fotografiche che rappresentano gli ambienti naturali dove vivono, dalle Alpi agli Appennini, dai ghiacciai al mare.

Tutti gli scenari che si illuminano alla visita, non compromettono l'integrità e la conservazione dei colori delle farfalle poiché le luci si accendono automaticamente solo alla presenza e per il tempo necessario. Il museo "nel Regno delle Farfalle" Onlus è stato istituito nel proposito di diffondere quanto più approfonditamente sulla vita delle farfalle, sulle loro popolazioni, sulle leggi che le tutelano: Convenzione di Washington (Convenzione sul commercio internazionale delle specie minacciate di estinzione o CITES, Convenzione di Berna (Convenzione per la conservazione della vita selvatica e dei suoi biotopi in Europa), Direttiva Habitat (Natura 2000) del 21 maggio 1992 n. 92/43 CEE, e su tutto quanto è indispensabile mettere in atto per la salvaguardia degli ambienti che ancora le ospitano. Al caso, il percorso museale è stato suddiviso in 48 stazioni, disposte lungo cinque percorsi itineranti: Percorso Temporale, Ambientale, Geografico, Scientifico ed Ecologico. Completano undici Intervalli, dove sono rigorosamente conservati ed esposti gli Insetti amici e nemici delle Farfalle, le Farfalle della Notte, e le Farfalle del Mondo.
