The historical collection of the museum dates back to Vallisneri's Museum (XVII-XVIII century). The most important specimen is the olotypus of "Dermochelys coriacea" (Vandelli, 1761).
The museum is open only by appointment.
Nel museo i reperti più antichi risalgono alla Collezione di Vallisneri (XVII-XVIII sec.). L'esemplare più importante è l'olotipo di "Dermochelys coriacea" (Vandelli, 1761).
