MUSEO DELLA STAMPA "REMONDINI"

Since the 15th of September 2007 the Sturm Palace has also been the base of the Remondini Museum, becoming the new cultural centre of Bassano for applied arts. The exhibition suggests the theme of a travel along a timeline that links the Remondini family’s history with their works; a path that covers 200 years of human history and of European culture, between the second half of the 15th century and the first half of the 19th century.

The new museum, one of the few in Italy dedicated to the art of printing and certainly the most articulated, shows all the different aspects of the industrial world of the Remondini family, in any ideal journey introduced by the Tesini’s templates and through their works: books, decorated papers, popular and holy engravings, packages to crop, toy soldiers, toys, optical views, etched engravings and xylographs of famous Italian and European engravers, as Mantegna, Dürer and Tiepolo. Multimedia and documentaries are placed beside the printed didactic displays to make the learning enjoyable and fulfilling.

Dal 15 settembre 2007 Palazzo Sturm ospita anche il Museo Remondini, divenendo a pieno titolo il nuovo polo culturale cittadino dedicato alle arti applicate. Il percorso espositivo propone il tema del viaggio, lungo una linea del tempo che intreccia le vicende della famiglia con i materiali prodotti, in un cammino che si snoda lungo 200 anni di storia dell’uomo e della civiltà dell’immagine europea, tra metà Seicento e metà Ottocento.

Il nuovo museo, uno dei pochi in Italia dedicati alla stampa e certamente il più articolato, illustra tutti gli aspetti del fenomeno industriale sette-ottocentesco dei Remondini, in un ideale viaggio introdotto dalle sagome dei Tesini attraverso tutta la produzione, i libri, le carte decorate, le incisioni popolari sacre e profane, i foglietti da ritaglio, i soldatini, i giochi, le vedute ottiche, le acqueforti e le xilografie dei grandi incisori italiani ed europei, tra cui Mantegna, Dürer e Tiepolo. La multimedialità e i documentari affiancheranno gli apparati didascalici stampati per una didattica aggiornata particolarmente piacevole e appagante.
